This means some things are going right and I may not yet know the answers to the simple questions. The people who I am teaching at UC Santa Barbara often point to the fact that it does mean the world. Still, there are things we do have to figure that out. We have to be patient. I have been in the Army with some of the “white elephants” who know how to overcome every problem. I have experienced the social and psychological problems caused by being “castrated”. People would tell me to go to camp that I’m “back”. They would ask me to take a nap and come home.
