Thanks I have used c++ code to create the Excel file and the two I looked at before and it looked a bit messy. however, my first real effort was to learn some HTML/CSS/data sheets, to see which one was cleaner. I have finally found a library/test program which, I believe, works equally well with c++.

It just depends on what you want to learn. It would be fine to find the best paper just writing the best data on the page.
